different attackers
always the same victims
different ideals

citizens to arms
fight for our way of life
pay the price of yours
the ones who start a war
are never the ones to suffer the most
the victims are not nations or ideas
it’s the people who can‘t afford defence
buy your self defence

This is one of our first songs where I was still learning to write songs and looking back it also seems a bit like I use a lot of phrases there. I still feel it’s important to state that in wars mostly poor people are the ones who have to take all the consequences, while others, including us, as our wealth is also bought with weapons, profit from them.
